Jordyn graduated from the Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology program at Dalhousie University in 2009, making the Dean’s List every year. She went on to complete a Masters of Physiotherapy at McMaster University, and has been in clinical practice since 2013.
Jordyn was the primary outpatient therapist for more than 30 000 residents while working up north in Sioux Lookout, ON. She gained valuable experience working with the sports medicine physician and orthopedic surgeons. Along with treating a multitude of sports related injuries, Jordyn worked with individuals with complex conditions, such as traumatic brain injury, rheumatic conditions and diabetes.
Fervent about continuing education, Jordyn has completed courses in concussion management, neuro-proprioceptive taping, active joint mobilization and acupuncture. Her treatment philosophy focuses on making physical activity important and interesting for each client. She aims to ensure that clients have a firm understanding of their injuries before setting their goals. Her practice revolves around active manual therapy and exercise prescription.
She has 21 years experience playing elite level hockey and enjoys playing any and every sport. When she is not on the rink, field or court, she can be found putting her backcountry camping skills to the test.
