Physiotherapy Pelvic Floor
Pelvic floor physiotherapy is a specialized form of physical therapy focused on assessing and treating the muscles, ligaments, and connective tissues of the pelvic floor. During treatment, a trained physiotherapist will evaluate muscle strength, coordination, and function, often using both external and internal techniques, depending on your comfort level. This therapy can help alleviate symptoms such as incontinence, pelvic pain, and discomfort during intimacy, while also improving core stability and overall quality of life. With a personalized approach, pelvic floor physiotherapy empowers individuals to regain control, reduce symptoms, and enhance daily comfort. For clients with pain conditions, the focus may first be on pain education, relaxation strategies, breathing, and movement to calm the nervous system before pelvic floor assessment.

Prenatal clients receive similar care depending on their needs, with the option to include labor and birth prep. Postpartum care also follows the same principles, with added focus on cesarean recovery (e.g., scar care and mobilization) and diastasis recti abdominis (DRA), which involves breathing coordination, pelvic floor and core strengthening, and targeted exercises.
